Susie at work.

The Park where we are volunteering is the home of what was thought to be an extinct butterfly, the Island Marble. Turns out there still a few trying to make a comeback. The park botanist is growing different plants and wildflowers to see which of them would serve as a good host for the butterfly to lay its eggs.

Susie has been helping take care of the plants. The screens laying on either side are placed over the plants to keep the deer out.
