in my continuing quest……

to visit all the original locations of giant restaurant  and mongo retail chains, I will stop at nothing to bring these adventures to you, the 7 readers of my web-log. Yesterday, we bagged another one to add to our collection of  the original Steak and Shake in Illinois, the original Burger Chef in Indianapolis,  the original Cracker Barrel in Tennessee and the Original Home Outfitters in Loogootee, Indiana.

We ventured to south seattle where we found, tucked in amongst the industrial plants, distribution centers and cargo handling ships, the original home of the giant retailer,Costco. It brought tears to my eyes.

Next up. Cabela’s. The giant sports equipment store. No. Wait. We already went by that one back in Idaho or maybe it was Wyoming.  And I didn’t even take a picture.

There is another giant sporty kind of place around here, however. REI. Maybe I can find it.
